It Ain’t About Our Stuff

It ain’t about the stuff we gain…

Whoever dies with the most toys DOES NOT win.

It’s common practice for us to try to measure our success in ourselves and others by the size and amount of stuff we have.

The problem with this standard is that it’s an illusion of the truth.

Whenever I find myself slipping back into this type of thinking I also tend to become less satisfied with what I already have as well as falsely base my happiness on the need to gain more stuff.

Perhaps it’s different for you, but my hope is that you are not measuring your worth to others and God based on the material stuff you have.

God and others who really matter in our lives love us for who we are and not for what stuff we have…

Check your experience…

“In the realm of the material, men’s minds were fettered by superstition, tradition, and all sorts of fixed ideas.” Big Book pg. 51

Lord, please let us see that our worth is based on what’s in our hearts and not by the stuff we acquire, AMEN.

“For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” 1 Timothy 6:7
